SOS: Stop Oil Shopping

Since I travel I’ve seen too much plastic, corrupt politics and a huge lost of ground on islands coused by the rising of the sea-level. To stop global warming and keep the world a safe place to live, scientuists say that we should stop fracking, drilling or digging. The Guardian published this artikel last year: Just 100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions.

On this page of my website I’m trying to make a list of good products to buy. Most of the organic, not produced by kids, without poison, bought for a fair price and products that have a lower CO2 footprint because they are produced local. I don’t say these are just good brands, feel free to criticize! I’m just trying to give some inspiration where to spend your money in a good way. For exmple: Vaseline is 100 percent petroleum jelly.  If you don’t want to use petroleum jelly for your lips, you could always use unrefined coconut oil or shea butter. And Synthetic vitamins are also made from petrochemicals!!

My idea is that we should do:

  1. Buy 2nd hand
  2. Buy local and natural
  3. Buy from a person
  4. Fix in stead of replace

Where do I like to buy?

  1. Local organic farms
  2. Second hand shops
  3. The biggest flea market in Europe: IJ-hallen
  4. Organic underwear: Brook There
  5. My favorite fairtrade chocolate: Tony Chocolonely
